Who Am I?

Hi! My name is Jonathan Taylor, although most people call me Jon. I have worked in culinary for most of my life, everything from Michelin star restaurants in Napa Valley to a beer bar in Colorado. I have worked in restaurants, hotels, catering, banquet, corporate dining, food trucks... you name it I've done it at some point.

I also taught culinary school and performed support functions for that same school such as data management, faculty training, and ensuring a consistently high level of performance throughout the faculty.

I am also a level 1 sommelier. I love good drinks almost as much as I love good food. Beer, wine, cocktails, coffee, tea, you name it!

I was one of the owners (along with my incredible wife Brittany, outstanding mom Bonnie, and wonderful dad Christopher) of The Modern Waffle, Three Kids Lobster, and Sand Point here in Omaha. Sand Point was an absolute dream for us, and unfortunately we had to let it go as my health has prevented me from contributing the way I want to. I have never had so much fun in a kitchen as I did when we were on the trucks.

I live in Gretna with my wife Brittany and daughter Lily, and I LOVE living here! Hope to see you around town!
